Gina Patterson
GINA PATTERSON started her dance career as an apprentice with the Pittsburgh Ballet. In 1988, she joined Ballet Austin, dancing principal roles in both classical and contemporary works by Stephen Mills, Lambros Lambrou, Vicente Nebrada, John Butler, Domy Ritter-Soffer, Bill Soleau, and George Balanchine. In 1996, Gina joined Ballet Florida as a Principal Dancer. During her four years there, she danced a diverse repertoire including works by Ben Stevenson, Peter Martins, Val Caniparoli, Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Mauricio Wainrot, Daniel Ezralow, Marie Hale and Trey McIntyre. She also participated in the Step Ahead choreographic workshop, creating four new works. On of these, Insideout, presented at the Ballet Builder’s Showcase in New York, was commissioned by Ballet Florida and is now in the repertoire of Ballet Austin. She has also choreographed for Ballet Austin II and for various other projects within the Austin community. Ballet Builder’s has again selected her work for their 2002 showcase. Ms. Patterson has performed with various companies around the world including the Icelandic Ballet, the Houston Dance Coalition, the Garden City Ballet and Ballet Builders.Works for Ballet East
